How to add DIVI(ERC-20) to MetaMask

In the previous article, we shared the Divi blockchain bridge and showed you how to swap your $DIVI for DIVI(ERC-20). This guide will walk you through adding the DIVI(ERC-20) tokens to a MetaMask wallet. While MetaMask is not the only web3 wallet option, it is currently the most widely used and trusted, but who knows? Divi might just change that in the coming years!

If you do not yet have MetaMask, you can add it as a browser extension or download the mobile app. As with all self-custodial wallets, you are responsible for your own private keys and need to store your MetaMask Secret Recovery Phrase in a safe place.

Once you have MetaMask installed, follow these simple steps to get your DIVI(ERC-20) tokens added to your MetaMask wallet:

1. Open the Metamask mobile app or the browser extension by clicking the icon in your browser toolbar. 

2. Click on import tokens, located at the bottom of the Assets tab on your wallet homepage.

3. Click on the Custom token tab at the top 

4. Copy & Paste the following DIVI(ERC-20) contract address into the Token contract address box:   0x246908bff0b1ba6ecadcf57fb94f6ae2fcd43a77

The Token symbol (“DIVI”) and Token decimal (“8”) fields will automatically populate with the correct details.

Important: Always check the contract address against a verified source. You can always find and verify the DIVI(ERC-20) contract address on this page, etherscan.io, in the #links channel in the Divi Discord Server, and on Divi’s CoinMarketCap page.

5. Click Add custom token to proceed.

6. You will now see a page asking you to confirm that you want to add DIVI (ERC-20). Click on Import tokens, and your DIVI(ERC-20) will be added to your wallet automatically from now on.

7. All done! Now, the Assets tab will display your DIVI(ERC-20) balance and your tokens are ready to use on the Divi DeFi platform.

Keep in mind that to transfer any DIVI(ERC-20) you will need ETH in your wallet to cover gas fees.
