Divi Labs to Cease Operations

Dear Divi Community,

We have the regret to inform you that Divi Labs, a long-term key partner of the Divi Project, notified us it will be ceasing operations.
Divi Labs has been a central force in Divi's development since 2019, with its flagship product being the Divi Wallet—a multi-coin mobile wallet offering features such as send, receive, buy, sell, convert, and Staking Vaults.

Over the past few years, Divi Labs has worked tirelessly to secure partnerships that would expand the wallet’s features and drive blockchain adoption among businesses.

‍Our understanding of the situation

Based on Divi Labs statement, despite the best efforts, the difficult financial situation has ultimately made it unsustainable for Divi Labs to continue operations.

‍What will happen now?

In cooperation with the Divi Labs team, assets critical to Divi, including the mobile wallet, will be maintained by the Divi Foundation. During this transition, services provided by the mobile wallet, as well as certain convenience features in the desktop wallet, will be temporarily unavailable for an undetermined period.

The Divi Foundation will prioritize restoring blockchain and desktop wallet convenience services, including anchor nodes, primer, and Staking Vaults. The mobile wallet services will be taken offline for at least a couple months and will return as a reworked Divi-only mobile wallet.

‍What are the consequences for users?

For mobile wallet users, you’ll need to restore your wallet using your seed phrase in a BIP39-compatible wallet. Fortunately, most popular wallets support this format. For Divi holders, you can either wait for the mobile wallet to return or seed restore your wallet using the Divi desktop wallet.

We will be providing tutorials to guide you through restoring your Divi on the desktop wallet, as well as how to recover other coins in different wallets. As always, our excellent support team will be available to help you, should you need any assistance.

‍What about our wallet partners?

We are happy to confirm that Simplex and ChangeNow have expressed their continued support during this transition. Simplex (buy) and ChangeNow (conversion) are both eager to remain integrated into the future versions of both the mobile and desktop Divi wallets once the transition is completed.
